I’m a furry girl.
I’ve come to a point in my life where I’m ok admitting this because chances are many of you are hairy too. Also like many of you I don’t particularly like being hairy, especially in those odd places where women just AREN’T SUPPOSED TO GROW HAIR.
I’ve tried just about everything…
spa waxes- good but too expensive to keep up, also I hate trying to make an appt in time with when everything has “grown out” enough.
tweezing- fine for eyebrows but anything else is just ridiculous
razors- they get expensive & stubble & ingrowns just piss me off
threading- at first I loved the results until the next day when my entire face broke out in around a hundred whiteheads. Gross, I know, but I had to convey the drama of the ordeal.
So last time when I was in Tampa I was complaining to my mom about how I have sideburns in pictures (I can’t believe I just admitted that to the entire internet but hey, I know I’m not alone, I think) & she suggested I try her new at home waxing system. This is like, a professional warmer, whole kit ‘n kaboodle waxing system.
I was a bit apprehensive but my quest for a bare body intrigued me to try it out, and I have to tell you…I LOVED IT! Seriously, I put that thing to work and it was INCREDIBLE! I’ve tried at home waxing pots & strips before and they just don’t pull off all the hair at once but this, this got EVERYTHING in one tug! And my skin didn’t break out either! It comes with 4 different creams & oils for pre & post treatment and I don’t know how much of a role they played but I can say that I followed the directions exactly and the results were AWESOME. Also I’ve heard that the quality of a wax makes a difference in how much it hurts to remove the hair, from my experience I agree with that (could be completely mental however) and this stuff passed the test. By no means pain-free but definitely doable. I even did my bikini line! (which my mom thought I was downright crazy to attempt)

Thanks for the post. I too am a hairy girl and unfortunately my 10 year old daughter seems to have inherited that gene from me. At least her hair is blonde!
ha ha ha!! You are very brave to admit to being a furry girl! I still won't admit it! I have been looking for something like that that I can do at home. I am most definitly going to try it! Thanks!
