There once was a shrunken sweater & $2 IKEA pillow who were the best of friends…
Until one day the old sweater was looking through a Pottery Barn catalog and saw a beautiful display of ivory sweater pillows, she loved how soft & welcoming they all looked but knew her husband would be very angry if she bought the set of overpriced unneeded decorations.
Then suddenly she had an idea!
With one big gulp she gobbled up her pillow buddy! Although he did not understand at the time the wise shrunken sweater knew this was the only way to repurpose themselves & save them from the dingy junk pile they’d been living in.
With 2 quick lines of stitches (and rounding of the corners so they wouldn’t droop once turned right side out) the non-fitting sweater was now a beautiful Pottery Barn inspired sweater pillow!
Seeing the sweater’s beautiful transformation a sweater tunic who was also in the junk pile because she had shrunken too much in the bust decided she would follow…
In the name of style she chopped off her head & took in her sides with two lines of stitches straight down! She gobbled up one of the summery cushions that had been in the house & with a ladder stitch cinched herself shut & added herself to the newly decorated fall livingroom.
Then the shrunken sweater, sweater tunic, 2 pillows & daddy’s wallet all lived happily ever after!
The End.

Wow! That was sweet! I really, really wish I could find the time to learn how to run my sewing machine! You have a lot of talent!
I have knitted pillows like that before.

Hey! I have been following your blog for a while now and just love how relateable you are. It's like I have known you for years!! Thanks for making me laugh today.
I am trying so hard to learn to sew…but boy am I struggling! It all looks fine on the top side but you can tell there is something big time wrong when you look at the back side. My main craft is painting and I don't usually have much patience for things that don't go they way I envision right off the bat so we will see how this goes! Thanks for the tutorials!
