Nursery Makeover 1 : Natasha 0
My allergies are killing me and as much as I swore I was going to paint Sam’s ceiling today during her afternoon nap a quiet hour with my hot glue gun called to me instead. I did make her two darn cute headbands though, I’ll have to post pics of those later. My mother in law arrived this evening and will be with us all week, I’m hoping that with her help I can get my nursery makeover game back on.
Samster Sleep Makeover 0 : Natasha 1!
Woohoo! We made it through night one and I’m still here! She woke up a total of three times that required me to go in her room and lay her back down, and all but two of those times were pretty quick. The one time though she woke up at 12:30a and it took me a solid hour of laying her back down over and over when she’d try to sit up in her crib before she finally gave in and fell asleep. Wish me luck tonight, I’m extra tired and know I’m going to be tempted to bring her to bed. I also miss her because thanks to D.C. traffic by the time I got back from picking up my MIL at the train station Sam was already asleep. Isn’t that crazy, even after being with that kid alllll day long if I’m just apart from her for a few hours I miss her like crazy. I guess that’s part of the maternal instinct, you know, that same part that keeps us from eating our young when they’re driving us nuts.
Sounds like you’re on the right track. I wouldn’t try to rush the room – pace yourself.
