I’m just kind of, seeing other people. But you can come to! In fact, that would be amazing, if we could all just “be” together.
Am I perving you out yet?
I’m oh so excited to announce that I have been invited to write for an outstanding website. It’s an entertainment website that’s incredible. And the host? He’s a total hottie. I hear he rubs his wife’s feet at night after bathing & feeding their two kids. Well, the bath part is true…working on the foot rub part. Yep, the lovely folks at Clearchannel have decided to take a chance on a “wife blog” & are giving me my own page on my husband’s radio website www.kaneshow.com. I’m beyond excited & hope to make a huge impact & show them that someone needs to be representing us wives, mommys & ladies.
Here’s the way I see it working. LPM is my firstborn baby & will always be a priority. I plan to post weekly tutorials, recipes & my usual type posts here. The little taste you’ve gotten of bitching editorial columns like this & this will live over there. I’ll also be posting my retorts to when my husband likes to talk about me on the air as well as some fun fashion & beauty posts. If this is where you’re used to finding me than don’t worry, I’ll always let you know on here, what I’m posting about over there. That way it’s kind of like a Natasha buffet & you can just serve yourself whatever you’d like. Ooo, that sounded dirty.
I hope you’ll bear with me during this, I decided awhile ago that my dream goal would be to pick up some freelace writing opportunities & one day, just maybe, be able to do some television work. Did you know I got my degree in TV Journalism? I never used the darn thing & have always kind of regretted it. This opportunity certainly seems like it could be an amazing step in the right direction. Say a little prayer, ok?
You have been so ridiculously supportive of me throughout these last four years. Post partum depression, adding a 2nd child, Lyme disease…you’ve played a major role in being my friend through all of them & I know you’ll support me as a BFF now too.
So here’s my first post over at www.kaneshow.com/natasha, it’s about vasectomies. Because why not hit the ground running with penis talk? Can you believe I actually worked in marketing too? Ha! Guess there’s a reason that didn’t pan out…
Take a little peek & tell me what you think. You’ll notice some of my old LPM posts are on there already, that’s because I thought it’d be a good idea to launch it with some meat on it’s bones. Someone once told me…”you don’t open a grocery store without already stocking the shelves”
I’d love love love any topic ideas you have too!! Just leave a comment here or there or email me at natasha@littlepinkmonsters.com I’m supposed to post over there 5x per week so any ideas you got would be gold!
Much love,
Nat

So I have sort of confession/apology. Several years ago when Kane first started on 99.5 I made a very stern decision to boycott the station and to dislike, disagree and frown at anything he said if I so happened to tune in. Why? Because I was a die hard, Mark and Kris fan. That’s it. I knew nothing about Kane or what he would bring to the table. I just made it his fault that they were gone! This sounds so absolutely ridiculous and obviously I was acting like a child about the whole thing.
Now rewind a couple years and my friend is telling me about this awesome blog that she reads called SamsterMommy. I am instantly hooked and then start feeling awful about prejudging Kane.
So I’m sorry. Sincerely. And I thank you for coming along with your hubby and giving this stay at home mom some good reading material and the kick in the butt to start running (still trying to finish C25K btw). Mostly I’m listening to the Wheels on the Bus, or the Hot Dog song in the car but on the rare occasion that I do catch 99.5, I thoroughly enjoy the laughter Kane’s show brings to the station.
I feel so silly about the whole thing, but I really did feel like I had to apologize. My husband is a worship pastor, and I know at some point we will have to move somewhere new and I would hate to know that people are already writing him off before they even get a chance to know him. I’m sorry I was that awful person. 🙁
claudia
omg i felt the same way. i refused to like this Kane Show because i loveeeeed Mark and Kris.ive been listening to the Kane Show since day one because i wanted to hate it but couldnt.Congrats Nat :))
Natasha
Oh my gosh, I had no idea! Please don’t apologize, I totally get it. And we know it’s just par for the course with this job. A good radio show will become a part of your family, of your life, to have the one you love leave & a new one in place is tough. I don’t undermine that at all. I’m just so happy we could win you over!
Where is your husband a worship pastor at? We’ve been looking for a church.
Miranda
We both work on staff at Crosswind Church (I head up the nursery/preschool program). It’s in Westminster (Carroll County). I think you guys are in DC, right? We’re a bit far but if you, for some reason, decide to come, I can assure you we have great worship, and a rockin’ Sunday School program! Haha.
Check us out… http://www.mycrosswind.com I’ll also ask my husband if he knows of any good churches in the DC area. 🙂
Ashley

Natalie
YES!! the listeners all love you. I can’t wait to see what fun you bring to the table!
Andrea
Congrats! I totally agree with the previous poster about listening to Kane and feeling like we already “know” you. Are you creeped out yet?
Natasha
Ha! No, not at all…trust me, it takes a lot more than that to creep me out!
Lauren
CONGRATS! We all love when Kane calls you live on the air. Can’t wait to have another one of your blogs to read!
Stacy
So proud of you for this opportunity! The Kane Show is becoming a family experience?! LOL.
Seriously, juggling multiple blogs requires routine and insanity, I’ve been there. You are going to do great! You have so much fire and passion for this you are going to be awesome. I’m excited to be along for the ride.
😉
Stephanie
So exciting! I am on maternity leave right now and the ONLY thing I miss about going to work is my commute to listen to the Kane Show – will you make guest appearances on air? Exciting to be able to follow you on two different sites!
Natasha
Congrats on the baby! And yes, I just can’t help but call in & throw my two cents around now & then.
Angela
Oh, I don’t like that you have to post comments using your Facebook!!
Natasha
I knowww, that isn’t my favorite either. ):
Crash
You should consider a weekly wrap-up with links to your posts at Kaneshow.com for LPM, a la Jordan Ferney at Oh Happy Day! and Jenny Lawson at The Bloggess (who titles hers “Shit I Did When I Wasn’t Here”) … it’s a nice little index to all the stuff you’re doing when you’re off site at LPM and then everyone knows where to find you!
🙂
Natasha
That’s a great idea!
Mayra
Congrats Natasha! So happy for you! Its so funny reading some of these comments about how everyone tried to not like the Kane show, (i have to admit I was one) but I can honestly say Kane show is part of my daily routine and so is checking LPM! I’m excited to start reading your blog on Kane. And its true; listeners all love you! :O )
